As a registered nurse, you already show up for others during some of their most challenging moments, combining compassion with clinical expertise and sound judgment. Your practice has built a strong foundation in patient care. The next step is expanding that foundation to deepen your impact across the healthcare environment. Our RN to BSN track is designed for licensed nurses who are ready to build on their existing practice and continue their professional growth. With an open-enrollment model, this program offers a flexible and streamlined pathway for nurses holding an unencumbered license in the United States or Canada and meeting the 2.7 GPA requirement. The curriculum is structured to strengthen critical thinking, expand understanding of research and evidence-based practice, and support the development of leadership skills across diverse healthcare settings. As students progress, they integrate prior clinical experience with new knowledge, enhancing their ability to contribute to patient outcomes, care coordination, and system-level thinking. Graduates are positioned to pursue expanded roles and continue advancing within an evolving healthcare landscape.
Program requirements include the following:
- Unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States (US), District of Columbia or US territories, an unencumbered license as a RN in Canada or an active ADN student in a nursing program affiliated with Baker College.
- Canadian RNs must complete the practicum experiences of this program under the supervision of a baccalaureate nurse licensed in Canada. Successful completion of the Baker College RN to BSN program does not qualify Canadian graduates to take the US NCLEX-RN examination.
- A cumulative GPA of B- (2.7) is required for graduation. A minimum grade of B- (2.7) is required for all nursing (NUR) courses. A minimum grade of a C (2.0) is required for general education courses.
- Students must fulfill all general education requirements for their degree. If requirements are not met, additional coursework may be necessary to satisfy degree completion.
