NUR 4310 - Concepts of Nursing in the Community Credits: 4 Lecture: 45 Lab: 0
This course explores the principles and practices of nursing care within the context of communities and populations. Through a blend of theoretical learning and hands-on experiences, students examine the social determinants of health, resilience, epidemiology, health promotion, and disease prevention strategies. This course equips students with the skills necessary to assess community health needs, plan and implement health interventions, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to improve the health outcomes of diverse populations. This course is comprised of 45 hours of lecture instruction and 45 hours of clinical experience.
