This course delves into the fundamental concepts of biochemistry, emphasizing the structure and function relationships of the four major types of biomolecules: carbohydrates, nucleic acids, lipids, and proteins. By integrating structure-function relationships with metabolic processes, enzyme kinetics and regulation, and cellular signaling, this course provides a comprehensive understanding of the biochemical basis of life. 45 hours of lecture and 30 hours of lab required.
