MTH 6720 - Data Analysis and Modeling: Regression Techniques Credits: 3 Lecture: 45 Lab: 0
Examines advanced topics in regression analysis. Students will learn how to construct statistical models and disseminate results to a wide audience. There will be a focus on choosing the appropriate modeling strategy for the data and research question(s) at hand. Topics could include the following: method of least squares, residual analysis, collinearity, data transformation, polynomial regression, general linear model, selecting a best regression model, and logistic regression. Emphasis is on application and interpretation using statistical software.
