This program is built for those who are driven by a genuine desire to support others and make a positive impact in the world around them. Since the justice system is a massive field, we provide you with a solid, well-rounded foundation that prepares you for essential entry-level roles in law enforcement, the court system, or corrections. You will gain the practical knowledge and problem-solving skills needed to help maintain social order and reduce crime. At Baker College, we help you turn your passion for service into the real-world skills you need to hit the ground running in a rewarding career.
You do not need a background check to get started in our Criminal Justice program. However, keep in mind that most employers and internship sites in this field will run a thorough background investigation before you can start working. If you have a criminal history, it could limit your options for field placements or make it harder to get hired in certain roles later on. We want you to be successful, so we highly recommend speaking with a program advisor early on. They can help you map out the best academic and career path to reach your goals.
