If you already have a bachelor’s degree and are ready for a career change, the Accelerated Nursing track offers a focused and fast-paced pathway that builds on your prior education while maintaining the academic and clinical standards required for safe, competent practice. Throughout the program, you will strengthen your clinical judgment, technical skills, and professional confidence through coursework, simulation, and clinical experiences, with consistent guidance and feedback to support your development. Students who meet all program requirements are eligible to apply for the NCLEX-RN examination, and the program is designed to prepare you for entry into professional nursing practice. You will leave this experience with the skills, support, and foundation needed to take the next step into nursing with confidence and purpose.
Program Status: Professional Program Application
Program requirements include the following:
- Baccalaureate Degree from a regionally accredited university or college
- Overall admission GPA a minimum of B- (2.7)
- Successful completion of BIO 1210 , BIO 1211 , BIO 1220 , BIO 1221 , BIO 2150 with a minimum of a B- (2.7)
- A cumulative GPA of B- (2.7) is required in order to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Baker College.
- A minimum grade of a B- (2.7) in all Nursing (NUR) courses is required.
- A minimum grade of C (2.0) is required for general education courses.
