As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will be the hands-on force helping patients regain their strength, mobility, and independence. Working under the direction of a licensed physical therapist, you will provide vital care to help people recover from injuries and improve their quality of life. This program prepares you for a high-energy career in almost any environment you can imagine-from hospitals and sports medicine centers to private practices, schools, and rehab clinics. Whether you are helping an athlete get back on the field or a senior regain their balance, you will graduate with the technical skills and confidence to make a physical difference in people’s lives every day.

Program requirements include the following:

Successful completion of BIO 1210, BIO 1211, BIO 1220, BIO 1221, BIO 2150, and HSC 1050 with a minimum grade of B- (2.7)

A minimum grade of C+ (2.3) in all major courses (PTA) is required, with the exception of PTA 2720 - Clinical Education II and PTA 2730 - Clinical Education III, which require a minimum grade of B- (2.7).

A minimum grade of C (2.0) is required for general education courses.

Prerequisite Courses - 28 Hours
Prerequisite courses must be taken prior to applying to the program. Physical Therapist Assistant Major - 49 Hours
