Diagnostic Sonography (Abdomen/OB-GYN), AAS

This program prepares you to become a skilled diagnostic medical sonographer, specializing in abdominal, OB/GYN, and vascular studies. You will go beyond just taking pictures; you will develop the critical-thinking skills needed to identify diseases and the technical expertise to operate sophisticated equipment-all while providing compassionate patient care. By blending classroom learning with hands-on clinical training, we help you master the communication and scanning techniques required to launch your career and become a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Program Status: Professional Program Application 

Program requirements include the following:
  • Successful completion of BIO 1210, BIO 1211, BIO 1220, BIO 1221, BIO 2150, and HSC 1050 with a minimum grade of B- (2.7)
  • A minimum grade of B- (2.7) in all major courses (DMS, VAS) is required.
  • A minimum grade of C (2.0) is required for general education courses.

Prerequisite Courses - 28 Hours


Prerequisite courses must be taken prior to applying to the program.
