Cardiac Sonography, AAS

This program is your high-tech gateway to a career in cardiac ultrasound, where you’ll master the academic and clinical skills needed to perform cardiac echo testing. You will learn to use advanced imaging technology to provide critical patient services across a huge variety of fast-paced healthcare settings. Program Status: Professional Program Application 

Program requirements include the following:
  • Successful completion of BIO 1210, BIO 1211, BIO 1220, BIO 1221, BIO 2150, and HSC 1050 with a minimum grade of B- (2.7)
  • A minimum grade of B- (2.7) in all major courses (CAS, DMS, HSC) is required.
  • A minimum grade of C (2.0) is required for general education courses.

Prerequisite Courses - 28 Hours


Prerequisite courses must be taken prior to applying to the program.

The Cardiac Sonography program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon the recommendation of the Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
