Nursing Administration, RN to MSN

The Baker College RN to Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) program strives to prepare nurses for leadership positions in administration (administrative track). The Administration cognate build upon the knowledge and skills nurses bring into the program, which is designed to meet the highest levels of nursing practice with an emphasis on the potential of each student. The RN to MSN degree program provides experienced professional nurses with an associate’s degree in nursing with the education and competencies needed to function in a rapidly changing healthcare environment.

Program requirements include the following for admission:

• An unencumbered license as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States (US), District of Columbia or US territories, or
• An unencumbered license as a RN in Canada*, AND
• Graduation from an regionally accredited ADN/ASN program or An active ADN student in a nursing program affiliated with Baker College.

*Students are required to either transfer in or take MTH 2750: Statistical Methods as a co-requisite to NUR 3050: Evidence-Based Practice. 

**NUR 3050 is required to be completed prior to starting the MSN courses.  

*** NUR 6220 and NUR 6230 are required to be the final two courses completed. These are also offered any term and any semester as needed to meet graduation requirements.

RN to BSN Bridge Courses - 15 Hours

Nursing Major - 24 Hours

NUR 6220 and NUR 6230 are required to be the final two courses completed in the program. These are offered any term and any semester as needed to meet graduation requirements.
