The Public Health minor complements health science bachelor degrees by providing additional specialized knowledge and education in the field of healthcare management. Public health combines different areas of study to provide a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare, and concentrates on keeping populations healthy by protecting and improving the health quality of life for all people. Public health practitioners work to ensure health and equity. Public health is research and application focused and engages people from many different disciplines to discover root causes of health issues and develop practical and cost-effective solutions.
