The goal of the College of Nursing baccalaureate nursing programs is to provide students a course of study in professional nursing which combines humanities and sciences with the theory and practice of nursing. Students will acquire knowledge and skills needed to function as professional nurses in healthcare settings that are responsive to individual and community needs. These individuals will develop into leaders of research, practice, education and administration within the healthcare environment.
Program Status: Professional Program Application (formerly limited enrollment)
Program requirements include the following:
- Overall admission GPA a minimum of B- (2.7)
- Successful completion of BIO 1210 , BIO 1211 , BIO 1220 , BIO 1221 , BIO 2150 , HSC 1010 with a minimum of a B- (2.7)
- A cumulative GPA of B- (2.7) is required in order to graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Baker College.
- A minimum grade of a B- (2.7) in all nursing (NUR) courses is required.
- A minimum grade of C (2.0) is required for general education courses.
