General Science, BS

The General Science degree program provides a flexible program of study in the natural sciences. A broad variety of courses focused in life sciences and physical sciences allows students to align coursework with their specific interests and career goals. The program is a great opportunity for students with an interest in health-related careers or for preparation for graduate level studies in health-care or fields of science.

Note: Courses must be selected from at least three different disciplinary areas, e.g. BIO, CHM, PHY, SCI, with a minimum of 12 credit hours from advanced level courses. Completion of SCI 4950, the degree capstone course, is required.

Select One Mathematics Course from the Following:


Science Requirements - 30 Hours


Choose from a minimum of three disciplines with at least 12 credits at the Advanced Level of courses. Any number of credits can be from the Introductory Level - 27 Credits

General Science Capstone - 3 Hours


Eligibility for the Master of Occupational Therapy Program:


Students completing this degree, to be eligible to apply for the Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy, are required to complete the following Science and Elective Courses with a grade of C or higher:
