NUR 6240 - Curriculum Development for Nursing Education

Students explore the development of nursing education curricula with a focus on evolving faculty and student roles, diverse learning needs, and ethical considerations. Students will analyze key components such as mission, vision, and program outcomes, and integrate nursing standards and accreditation requirements. The course emphasizes applying learning theories to create inclusive and engaging learning experiences, fostering a culture of civility, and utilizing information resources and technology. Additionally, students will investigate the incorporation of service learning to connect theoretical knowledge with practical, community-based experiences. Student will complete 45 practice hours (1 credit). 3 Semester hours.
