RAD 2200 - CT Protocols and Examinations Credits: 6 Lecture: 32 Lab: 0
This advanced course expands upon foundational CT fundamental concepts, focusing on complex protocols and specialized CT examinations. Students will explore advanced cross-sectional anatomy, vascular imaging, and scanning techniques, including 3D reconstructions and post-processing. Emphasis will be placed on optimizing image quality, managing radiation dose, and understanding data acquisition processes. Key areas of study include advanced imaging protocols, vascular studies, post-processing techniques, and introductory CT physics concepts. Upon completion, students will be equipped to perform and complete all advanced CT competencies, fostering expertise for high-level clinical practice in computed tomography. This course includes 32 hours of lecture and 288 hours of clinical.
