This course explores the complex relationships between gender, power, and influence within personal, organizational, and societal contexts. Students will analyze how gender shapes power dynamics and how women can navigate and challenge these structures to create positive change. The course will cover theories of power, including social, political, and economic dimensions, while examining the role of gender in shaping leadership styles and decision-making processes. Through case studies, discussions, and experiential learning activities, students will develop critical thinking skills and strategies for effectively leveraging influence and advocating for gender equity. By the end of the course, students will have a deeper understanding of the intersections of gender and power, equipping them to become effective leaders and advocates in their fields.
