BIO 4050 - Biology of Plants and Fungi Credits: 4 Lecture: 45 Lab: 30
This advanced course offers an in-depth exploration of the biology, diversity, and ecological roles of plants and fungi, emphasizing their significance in ecosystems and human society. Students will investigate the evolutionary history, physiological processes, and ecological interactions of these vital organisms, fostering a comprehensive understanding of their importance in the natural world. Laboratory work will also include an emphasis on identifying plants and fungi of the Great Lakes region. 45 hours of lecture and 30 hours of lab required.
