CS 4360 - Quantum Computing and Programming

Credits: 3
Lecture: 45
Lab: 0

This course introduces the principles of quantum computing and equips students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to program quantum systems. Students will explore the unique characteristics of quantum mechanics, such as superposition, entanglement, and quantum interference, that form the basis of quantum computation. The course covers quantum algorithms, including quantum teleportation, Grover’s search, Shor’s factorization, and the challenges and opportunities in quantum computing.

Prerequisite(s): CS 3210  and MTH 2310
