NUR 5460 - Advanced Practice Roles in Population Health

Students will explore population health principles and their application in advanced nursing practice. Emphasizing a holistic approach, the student will gain unerstanding of epidemiological methods, social determinants of health, health promotion, and disease prevention strategies across diverse populations. Students will critically analyze health disparities, community assessment techniques, and the role of policy in shaping health outcomes. Through evidence-based practice, students will develop and implement population-focused interventions, preparing them to lead initiatives that improve health equity and outcomes at the local, national, and global levels. Student will complete 45 practice hours (1 credit). 3 semester credits.
