NUR 2050 - Pharmacology in Nursing Practice

Through classroom and lab instruction, the student will develop a foundational understanding of the principles of pharmacology as they apply to nursing practice. Students will explore the fundamental concepts of drug classifications, mechanisms of action, therapeutic uses, dosage calculations, nursing implications, and patient education. Students will learn to safely administer medications. This course serves as the introduction for further studies in nursing and aims to equip students with 45 hours of lecture and 30 hours of lab instruction required.

Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into the traditional Pre-Licensure Nursing program
