HLS 4010 - Homeland Security and the Private Sector Credits: 3 Lecture: 45 Lab: 0
Analyzes ways the Federal Government and the private sector (all for-profit businesses not owned or operated by the government) protect, and sometimes fail to protect, our citizens and national assets. From evolving threats and our critical infrastructure, to insider threats from within the federal government and private sector partners, this course identifies the role the private sector needs to play in securing our homeland in the fight against national and international threats. Students will be required to complete an Independent Study (IS) course from the FEMA Independent Study Program culminating in a certificate that they can list on their resume as evidence of specific knowledge in the field.
