ELM 3450 - Elementary Literacy Methods Credits: 4 Lecture: 52 Lab: 0
Focuses on literacy development through proficient readers as well as literacy curriculum design and assessment, overall literacy, motivation, and engagement. Studies the principles and processes to help students become independent, strategic, and literate learners. Includes 24 hours of fieldwork in P-6 classrooms. A grade of C or better must be attained to complete the Elementary Education Program.
